1. What is Mountain View Homeschooling?
Mountain View Homeschooling is a hybrid homeschool program that combines at-home education with weekly in-person academic enrichment. It emphasizes hands-on learning, collaboration, and community-building among homeschool families.
2. How does the program work?
Students attend structured, in-person classes (typically weekly), where they:
- Participate in group projects and activities
- Give presentations and engage in interactive lessons
- Build friendships with peers
Parent-led learning at home is supplemented by these collaborative classroom experiences.
3. What age groups are served?
The program is designed for multiple age levels, including:
- Elementary
- Middle School
Each group receives age-appropriate instruction and activities tailored to their developmental needs.
Some 6-year-olds are ready for our full day program and are successful. Younger kids are welcome to participate in some of our electives as drop-off students or as parent-child participants.
4. What teaching style is used?
Mountain View Homeschooling focuses on:
- Hands-on, experiential learning
- Small group collaboration
- Creative and critical thinking
- Project-based assignments
- History presented through story-telling and Folksongs
This approach helps students remain engaged and develop real-world skills.
5. Are parents involved in the program?
Yes. As a homeschool co-op style program, we expect parent involvement in many activities, helping create a strong, supportive learning community. We have options for drop-off and for moms volunteering in the classroom as a means of reducing tuition costs.
6. What types of activities are offered?
Our students participate in activities that enhance academic and social development including:
- Field trips
- Nature-based programs at our educational farm
- Science fairs and creative projects
- Seasonal events and workshops

The program operates in Commerce, Georgia, serving homeschool families in Northeast Georgia including Jackson, Banks, Barrow, Gwinnett, Walton, Clarke, Oconee and surrounding counties. Our home church is currently under construction. Our new Fall 2026 location is available, and classes plan to resume at our home location at the close of construction.
