Classes include Jr. High Literature & Composition: This semester-long course offers a comprehensive approach to literature and writing, designed to support students in building essential academic skills. Through the study of Newbery Award-winning novels such as Johnny Tremain and Heart of a Samurai, students will explore pivotal moments in American and Japanese history while refining their understanding of storytelling and narrative structure. The course concludes with an exploration of tall tale traditions in By the Great Horn Spoon!In addition to literary analysis, students will engage in creative writing exercises aimed at developing their unique authorial voice.
